Podcasts

Don’t bother me – I am listening to my favourite podcasts

I have never previously been a heavy podcast listener. There was a time, a few years back, where I subscribed to a few games industry channels, but otherwise …podcasts …meh.

I am now a fan of podcasts

That has changed now. My goal is to learn as much as I can about the techniques of effective fiction writing, the inner workings of the book publishing industry, self-publishing and numerous related topics. This lead me to discover several truly useful and entertaining podcast channels.

The guys at Sterling & Stone are super-prolific broadcasters with multiple podcasts including the truly amusing and informative Self-Publishing Podcast. How they actually get around to writing on top of podcast recording, app creation and numerous other activities, I no not. I have also enjoyed the Write To Be Read podcast by Ani Alexander and So You Want To Be A Writer with Valerie Khoo and Allison Tait.

I have begun to create a list of the podcasts that I have so far found to be the most useful. This is in the hope that other people who are in at a similar point of the writing journey may do likewise

To see my list, simply click on the RESOURCES navigation link at the top of the page.

I would very much welcome suggestions for other podcasts and, indeed, books, articles, web sites and other useful sources of information. Please contact me via email or on Twitter if you have any suggestions.
